Heta on Sustainability & Supply Chain Ethics

Since launching, Heta has made reducing our environmental impact a core objective through our Green Pledge. As part of our parent company, Heta are certified to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) proving our commitment to an environmentally sustainable future.
We are always looking for ways to minimise our impact on the environment, setting annual environmental goals as part of a wider business commitment and have a training and development plan for all staff to ensure that the whole business is inducted into, and invested in, our core environmental values.

Heta believes in producing products that are built to last and encourage our customers and end users to recycle our gloves at the end of their useful life. Currently we are part of a scheme that sees our gloves recycled and repurposed back into materials such as insulation and are also working to migrate our glove and packaging raw materials to sustainable, recycled, and recyclable alternatives, with our goal to transition to a Closed Loop System which will see our gloves recycled back into new gloves.

Our modern slavery policy ensures optimum transparency throughout our supply chain and our quality assurance team works closely with our suppliers, manufacturers, and partners to maintain full compliance with our policy.

We look for internationally recognised standards like SA8000 when choosing our factories, with accreditation processes for manufacturers to evidence their fair treatment of workers. These high standards ensure performance is monitored and improved upon. At Heta we build long standing relationships within our factories and make clear our expectations of business behaviour, all partners must have suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and procedures of their own that are fully auditable and fit for purpose.

Heta, through our parent company, utilise organisations such as the Ethical Trading Initiative, the Fair Labor Association, Social Accountability International and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) to ensure we are following best practice when it comes to concerns over Humans Rights, Labour Standards and Modern Slavery. We pride ourselves on transparency within our supply chain and strive to deliver best practice in this area, taking serious and effective steps to identify and root out any signs of contemporary slavery.
